Gold is one of the most useful and versatile finishes in the aerospace and defense industries. Being found in small components like antennae and wiring, all the way to encasing entire satellite bodies, gold plating is a frequent request of our partners in those industries.

The most common spec for gold plating in the aerospace and defense industries is Mil-G-45204. The spec includes three types (I, II, and III), four grades (A, B, C, D), and 8 classes (00, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6). Mil-G-45204 also includes the intended relationships (or combinations of) grades and types.
